The ICCC-BF’19 – 1st International Conference on Climate Change: Resilience, Solutions, and Perspectives aims on bringing together researchers from various disciplines in order to share experiences and discuss about how to cope climate change in Africa, considering particularly the following main topics:

  • Perception, signals and indicators at local, regional and global levels,
  • Understanding processes and forecasts,
  • Strategies, adaptation, management and governance.

We are pleased to invite you to submit your papers to ICCC-BF’19. All submissions will be reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, importance and clarity.

THEMES The 1st International Conference on Climate Change: Resilience, Solutions, and Perspectives 2019 (ICCC-BF’19) will include a highly selective program of scientific and technical papers, accompanied by panel discussions and keynote presentations. We welcome high quality papers that describe original and unpublished research addressing the actual issues, challenges and needs in facing climate change for now and future on the following technical areas of (but not limited to) climate change.

  • Evidences and manifestations of Climate Change
  • Economics effects of climate change on agro ecosystems
  • Water use, agriculture and livestock farming facing climate change
  • Local and Indigenous Knowledge and Climate Change
  • Sustainable development and actors adaptation to climate change.

Authors are invited to submit their abstracts via the EDAS submission site before February, 15, 2019. All submitted abstract must be written in English. All submitted abstract will be evaluated by the conference scientific committee that will give an answer within one month after the abstracts submission deadline. After that, authors of accepted abstracts will be allowed to submit their full papers via the EDAS submission site before May, 17, 2019.

Conference organizers are still in discussion with some journals that are committed to publish conference best papers.

Paper contests will include a Conference best paper award and a best student paper award.


The following type of submissions will be considered:

Technical paper: finished or consolidated R&D works, to be included in one of the Conference themes. These papers should not exceed 10 pages. Papers submitted into this category will be discuss into parallel workshops and sessions.

Experience report: experience reports that show practical implementation experience, including case studies, focused on a specific topic of the conference. These papers should not exceed 4 pages. Papers submitted into this category will be used for interactive sessions in the form of round table between project leaders to exchange their experience, new ideas, and research results.

Posters: initial work with relevant ideas, open to discussion. Submissions comprise an extended abstract of not more than two pages, excluding references, but including all text, appendices, and figures and an A0 (841 mm width x 1189 mm height) size poster. The posters will stay up throughout the three days of the main conference and presenters will be required to be by their posters to discuss their work during the assigned poster sessions.

All submissions will be subjected, by the conference scientific committee, to a double level evaluation process, regarding first the right category where the papers has been submitted and secondly based on their content, following the standards papers evaluation rules.

The best poster submissions will be invited to give short presentations in a session during the main conference.
