The EPICA Final Conference was held in Zoom on December 10, 2020. With 1,000 participants registered for the event, during the nearly 2 hours conference, there were eight contributions from the different EPICA partners that raised an incredible interest amongst the audience.
The programme of the conference was able to show the main processes and outcomes achieved during the three years lifespan of the project. The agenda included polls to engage with the audience and the participation of end users of the EPICA ePortfolio in Africa, from the three related target groups (teachers, students and employers), allowing them to tell their own story when using the ePortfolio and how it has affected their professional lives.
Apart from the EPICA partners’ contributions and the participation of end users, the conference also counted with the presence of the Secretary General of the Internacional Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) who opened the event, the Rector of the African University (AVU) who gave a keynote about the relevance of employability skills in Africa and the closing of the conference by the Secretary General of the Association for the Development of Education on Africa (ADEA).
